Postdoc Position in Communication Theory and Security
There is an open postdoc position in communication theory and security available at UC Santa Cruz

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California, Santa Cruz is looking for a Postdoc in the area of Information theory and security. The candidate will work with UCSC Professor Hamid Sadjadpour. The appointment will be for a period of 12 months, renewable by mutual agreement for another year. Review of  applications will continue until the position is filled.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have

• PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields from a reputable university,

• Strong publication record,

• Background in information theory, security, encryption techniques, and strong mathematical background,

• Strong written and oral communication skills,

In addition to the above qualifications, it is highly desirable that the candidate has

• Prior research experience in security,

• Familiarity with provable secure cryptosystem techniques.
