The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California, Santa Cruz is looking for a Postdoc in the area of Information theory and security. The candidate will work with UCSC Professor Hamid Sadjadpour. The appointment will be for a period of 12 months, renewable by mutual agreement for another year. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have

• PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields from a reputable university,

• Strong publication record,

• Background in information theory, security, encryption techniques, and strong mathematical background,

• Strong written and oral communication skills,

In addition to the above qualifications, it is highly desirable that the candidate has

• Prior research experience in security,

• Familiarity with provable secure cryptosystem techniques.
