Call for entries for "Beyond i.i.d. 2018"
Suggestions for invited talks for "Beyond i.i.d. 2018" are solicited from the community, to be submitted by March 31, 2018. The workshop will be held in Cambridge, UK from July 23 to July 27, 2018.

The workshop will consist of talks and posters invited by the organisers. We already have three invited speakers who have  confirmed their participation.:

  • Ioannis Kontoyiannis (Cambridge, UK)
  • Renato Renner (ETH, Zurich)
  • Eric Carlen (Rutgers, USA)
To help us select a good programme, we invite the community to make suggestions for talks. Any member of the community can participate, either by nominating someone else with a concrete talk topic, or by submitting his/her own work in the traditional manner. In either case, the nomination or self-nomination should follow the following format:

Nominator: Full name,  email , affiliation, research interests
Talk nominee: Full name,  email , affiliation
Talk suggestion: A description of between half a page and up to two pages, explaining the pertinence of the submission for  BIID , with a title and relevant pointers to full paper(s). 
Entries are to be sent to   [email protected]   by  31/03/2018.

  • One-shot information theory
  • Entropic quantities
  • Additivity problems
  • Thermodynamics and other resource theories
  • Mathematical physics
  • Inequalities and open quantum systems
