The winner of the 2020 IEEE Information Theory Society  Claude E. Shannon Award  is Charles H. Bennett.  Bennett is an IBM Fellow and is with IBM Research at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY, USA. The award honors consistent and profound contributions to the field of information theory. Bennett will give the Shannon Lecture at ISIT 2020 in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
