The IEEE Information Theory Society (ITSoc) is pleased to announce that the recipient of the 2022 Chapter of the Year Award is the UK and Ireland Section Chapter. The Chapter of the Year Award annually recognizes a chapter that provides their membership with outstanding programs and activities. The prize includes $1,000 to support local chapter activities.

The UK and Ireland Section Chapter is being recognized for its activities and its promotion of information-theory research, which kept the chapter vibrant throughout the entire year. Such efforts include the 2019 & 2021 rebooting of the London Symposium of Information Theory, and numerous other meetings and talks.
