The Institute for Telecommunications Research at the University of South Australia has a position vacant for a Research Fellow in the area of dedicated short range communications.
The Research Fellow will conduct theoretical and applied research in physical layer wireless communications methods for Dedicated Short Range Communications (vehicle‐to‐vehicle and vehicle‐to‐infrastructure). The project focuses on the innovative use of multiple antennas, channel modelling, coding and signal processing techniques to increase
reliability, throughput, and coverage of vehicular ad‐hoc networks. The main task is to devise improved transmission strategies with an emphasis on efficiency, simplicity, and scalability to allow for practical implementation. Of particular interest is integration with vehicle positioning systems such as GPS and radar.
The project is in collaboration with Cohda Wireless Pty Ltd.
