The Elisha Yegal Bar-Ness Center for Wireless Communications and Signal Processing Research at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is looking for a highly-qualified postdoctoral researcher in the areas of coding and information theory, starting in Summer 2014. Strong applicants with an excellent theoretical background and a proven capacity for high-quality research are solicited in the broad areas of graph-based coding theory, polar codes, their applications (e.g., in coding for control or storage), and network information theory.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or be close to completion) in electrical engineering or a related field (such as mathematics or statistics). The initial appointment will be for 12 months. Compensation will be competitive and applications are requested by March 31, 2014 or until the position is filled.
