Seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to work on a multidisciplinary project on perception, navigation and spatial awareness in autonomous robots, inspired by insights from neuroscience and biology.
Essential requirements include:
- A PhD in the area of control, robotic navigation, optimisation or statistical signal processing, or an equivalent qualification
- A record of quality research as evidenced by publications in leading journals and at conferences of systems and control, robotics, optimisation or signal processing
- Strong theoretical and analytical skills in formulating, analysing and solving problems
Familiarity with information theory and stochastic control is desirable.
It is anticipated that there will be opportunities to visit and collaborate with institutions in Boston, USA. Salary AU\$95,179 - AU\$102,163 p.a., plus 17% employer contributions to superannuation. Anticipated commencement from June 2022.
