Dear fellow information theorists,

We are looking for one or more PhD students to work on Information Theoretic Security at Linköping University (LiU) Information Coding Division (ICG), which includes the Information Theory and Security Group, in Linköping, Sweden.

We invite strongly motivated students to apply for a PhD position to conduct research on Information Theoretic Security and/or Code Constructions for Security, including Physical Layer Security. Details of the research project will be decided based on the accepted candidate’s background. Close collaborations with LiU Communication Systems Division as well as numerous international collaborations will take place.

Solid knowledge in Information Theory is required. Knowledge in Information Theoretic Security and Coding Theory are highly appreciated. Programming skills and knowledge in Deep Neural Networks and Private Distributed Learning are of value. Excellent skills in English are necessary.

Salaries are highly competitive and there are LiU benefits on top, as well as universal health care and other social security benefits.

English is de facto the working language (and virtually every person living here can speak English), and for interested parties paid Swedish courses will be arranged.
