Nominations are called for the James L. Massey Research & Teaching Award for Young Scholars, closing date March 15.

The goal of this workshop is to foster dialogue between researchers working on machine learning and information-theoretic aspects of data compression. We also welcome all recent works that have been published or have been undergoing review elsewhere.

Lloyd Welch, an esteemed mathematician and electrical engineer, whose research career has had a profound impact on digital communications, coding theory, and signal processing, passed away on December 28, 2023, at the age of 96.
