Biography

Hsuan-Yin Lin, Research Scientist at Simula UiB, received his M.S. degree and Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Taiwan, in 2008 and 2013, respectively. His primary interest is to conduct fundamental research in the field of information theory and coding. Dr. Lin is a Guest Editor of Entropy: Special Issue on Information-Theoretic Approach to Privacy and Security. His current interests include privacy-preserving technologies, information-theoretic cryptography, coding in distributed storage systems, finite length information theory, distributed detection and estimation, and quantum error-correcting codes.
