Biography

S.-W. Ho was born in Hong Kong. He received the B.Eng., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees in information engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2000, 2003, and 2006, respectively.

From 2006 to 2008, he has been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, USA. Since 2009 he has been with the Institute for Telecommunication Research, University of South Australia, where he is now a senior research fellow. His research interests are in Shannon theory, information-theoretic security, visible light communications, data communications and recording systems, and biometric security systems.

Dr. Ho received the following awards and fellowships: 2010-2013 Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship, 2008 Hong Kong Young Scientist Award, 2006 Hong Kong Croucher Foundation Fellowship
