Biography

12/2019 – Present PhD Research

Huawei and Universite Paris-Est Full-time, Paris (France)

My PhD topic is Inference and Reasoning in High Dimensional Data.

06/2019 – 09/2019 Research Intern

Inria, Lyon (France)

Information Dynamics in decision making processes.

08/2017–05/2019 Software Engineer

University of Sheffield - Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, Sheffield (United Kingdom)

My work ranges from assessing new technologies to developing or integrating both hardware and software. As a research centre we work with new technologies and as such I constantly need to keep up to date with the recent developments. The centre's strong industrial partnership also means I constantly interact with people of diverse backgrounds by giving tours, going to conferences and presenting my work. I have worked on projects in the areas of IoT, indoor tracking, predictive maintenance and NLP. I also participated in conferences and trade shows across the UK.

06/2016–10/2016 Research Intern

General Electric (GE) Research, Munich (Germany)

My task was to develop part of the MATLAB code used for doing reachability analysis on a wind turbine model. The project offered me chance to work with software written in MATLAB using Object Oriented(OO) programming as well as understanding and debugging convoluted programs written by other colleagues. During the time there not only did I get a better understanding of OO programming and MATLAB, but I also helped refactor the provided code to enable the reachability analysis.

06/2015–05/2016 System Engineer

General Electric (GE) Aviation, Cheltenham (United Kingdom)

My responsibilities included maintaining and developing a Jenkins server that automated the generation of reports and databases needed for reviewing and testing the product. The project required using Jenkins, Python and SQL. My work proved valuable to the company saving the Systems team valuable time, as a consequence, for my work, effort and commitment I received 3 GE internal awards.

09/2012–07/2017 MEng Mechatronics and Robotics EQF level 7

University of Sheffeild, Sheffield (United Kingdom)

Spent the 2014-2015 academic year at National University of Singapore.

In my final year project, supervised by Dr Iñaki Esnaola, I analysed the effects of Markov chain sampling on different matrix recovery techniques. I implemented and compared 2 different algorithms for matrix recovery and analysed the effects entropy had on the recovery. Awarded Fourier Award for best final year MEng project. The degree included: Data Fusion, Robotics, Machine Learning, programming including C, C++, MATLAB, Hybrid systems, etc.
