Biography

Jinhua Guo is a Research Assistant with the Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received the B.Eng. degree in automation from China University of Petroleum, in 2013, and the M.Eng. degree in control engineering from a joint Education Program at Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences and North University of China, in 2020.

He studies the kernel based online learning/adaptation/prediction of nonstationarity (theory and application) and its efficient algorithmic implementation, particularly for nonstationary time series. This study is based on empirical inference and touches upon the theories and methodologies of model selection as well as topology inference, in the fields of adaptive and statistical signal processing, machine learning with graph theory, topological data analysis, data and network sciences, etc.
