Biography

Adel Elmahdy is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Minnesota. He received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt, and the M.Sc. degree in wireless communications from Nile University, Egypt. He worked as a research intern at Microsoft Research, Amplitude Analytics, and Vectara. He is a recipient of the Graduate Fellowship from Nile University and the ADC Fellowship from the University of Minnesota. His research interests span a broad range of topics focusing largely on information theory and coding, machine learning, and natural language processing.
